Privacy Policy

tuner.social ("we", "us") provides YouTube rank tracking with personalized difficulty scoring. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how long we keep it.

Information we collect

• Account data — your email address and authentication credentials when you create an account.
• Waitlist data — your email if you join the pre-launch waitlist.
• Product data — the keywords you track and the channel references you connect.
• Usage analytics — anonymized product analytics via PostHog to improve the service.

YouTube API Services

tuner.social uses the YouTube Data API to retrieve public search rankings and channel statistics. By using YouTube-powered features you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Data that Google processes is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

We store only derived signals computed from the API — difficulty scores and the provenance of each query (region, language, result type) — rather than raw video content. Raw API search responses are cached transiently (no longer than 6 hours) purely to conserve quota, and are not retained beyond that window.

You can revoke tuner.social's access to your Google/YouTube account at any time via the Google security settings page.

Data retention & deletion

Derived scores and product data are retained while your account is active. Cached YouTube API responses expire automatically within 6 hours. To request access to or deletion of your data, email privacy@tuner.social and we will action the request within 30 days.
